Christine Banks

Christine Banks has over 25 years of experience as an orthopedic educator and coder at the Orthopedic practice of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Christine’s experience includes all aspects of orthopedics revenue cycle management, with a specific specialty in surgical coding, auditing, and education. She recognizes the vital role of collaboration between coder and physician, working with all orthopedic sub-specialties, educating physicians and coders on correct coding and documentation.
Christine earned her bachelor’s degree in health information management from the University of Pittsburgh while working in coding and billing at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), and earned an associate degree in business administration at Dean College while working at UMASS Memorial Health in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO), and a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
Christine has two adult children and in her spare time, Christine loves spending time with her husband walking the beach collecting sea glass, kayaking, and cooking.
