With over twenty years of experience in orthopedics, plastic reconstructive surgery and OB-GYN, Michelle DelMonico has served as a compliance auditor, educator, revenue cycle manager and coder for Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Michelle’s expertise covers all aspects of orthopedic and OB-GYN revenue cycle operation and optimization, surgical and evaluation and management coding, retrospective and prospective chart reviews, coding and billing education, quality assurance, and compliance. She has collaborated closely with legal teams in the academic setting and has created models for charge capture in academic residency and fellowship coding education programs.
Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Northeastern University. She is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Orthopedic Coder (COSC), and Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Coder (COBGC).
